Eyeball Time Capsules

Recently I have been making the eyeball shaped sculptures out of 25lb high fired clay that are the size of large watermelons. Each sculpture weights about 45 lb I will usually fill up the inside of the plastic and plastic debris to make the sculpture solid and recycle. Then I paste pictures like collage on the surface of the sculpture as in the examples of above pictures. The above picture are of Miley Cyrus Concert and the photos are my own. In some cases people will send me their pictures for me to paste on the sculpture

This is another example of a sculpture I dedicated to my friends with photos of their wedding. Both of their names are written on the eyelids of the Eyeball. The sculpture also glows in the dark.

The below pictures are of another sculpture I made celebrating a married couple and their family. The sculpture also glows in the dark. Which can provide any room a soft light that does not need electricity and quarantined to last a life time. The sculptures are great way to celebrate and immortalize special people and place. When the things go changing and turning, the sculpture remains a time capsule of these people, connections, and friendships.
